Your nominated occupation must appear on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) published by the Department of Home Affairs.
You must obtain a positive skills assessment from the relevant Australian assessing authority for your occupation before submitting an EOI.
You must be under 45 years of age at the time you are invited to apply.
Must demonstrate at least Competent English — IELTS 6.0 in each of the four bands, or equivalent in PTE, TOEFL iBT, Cambridge or OET.
Must score at least 65 points across age, English, education, work experience and other factors to be eligible for the pool.
Not strictly required, but each strengthens your case — the weight shown reflects how heavily our scoring engine (and in practice, adjudicators) value it.
Must meet Australian health requirements (medical examination) and character requirements (police clearances).
Valid Passport
Current valid passport for all applicants.
Positive Skills Assessment Letter
Official letter from the relevant assessing authority confirming a positive assessment.
English Language Test Results
IELTS, PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT, Cambridge C1/C2 or OET results showing competent English (minimum IELTS 6.0 in each band).
Employment Reference Letters
Signed reference letters on company letterhead from each employer, detailing role, duties, dates and hours per week.
Academic Qualifications
Degree certificates and academic transcripts for education points claimed.
Health Examination Results
HAP ID and results from an approved panel physician. Results are submitted electronically to Home Affairs.
Police Clearance Certificates
Police clearances from all countries where you have lived for 12+ months in the past 10 years.
Birth Certificate
May be required to verify age or family relationships.
