Research each state or territory's Business Innovation stream criteria. Most states require you to submit a preliminary expression of interest through their state agency before a federal EOI is submitted.
Submit your Business Innovation and Investment EOI in SkillSelect. Provide accurate financial and business details. Indicate state nomination preference.
If your EOI meets the state's criteria, the state will nominate you. The Department of Home Affairs then issues an ITA. Accept the ITA within the response period.
Submit the formal Subclass 188A application in ImmiAccount within 60 days of ITA. Provide comprehensive financial evidence, business documents and a business plan for Australia.
Complete health examinations through an approved panel physician and obtain police clearances for all relevant countries.
Home Affairs assesses the application. On grant, you have 4 years and 3 months to establish or acquire a business in Australia. After the required period, you may apply for the Subclass 888 permanent visa.
