Must hold a valid nomination from an Australian state or territory government. Each state publishes its own conditions and occupation lists.
Your nominated occupation must be on the relevant state or territory occupation list at the time of nomination.
A positive skills assessment from the relevant Australian assessing authority is required before submitting an EOI.
Must be under 45 years of age at the time of invitation to apply.
Must demonstrate at least Competent English in all four bands. Many states require Proficient English (IELTS 7.0 each band).
Must score at least 65 points in the national points test. The 5 nomination points count toward this threshold.
Valid Passport
Current valid passport for all applicants.
State Nomination Approval Letter
Official nomination approval letter from the relevant state or territory government.
Positive Skills Assessment Letter
Official letter from the relevant assessing authority confirming a positive assessment.
English Language Test Results
IELTS, PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT, Cambridge or OET results showing at least Competent English.
Employment Reference Letters
Signed letters on company letterhead from each employer detailing role, duties, dates and hours.
Academic Qualifications
Degree certificates and transcripts for all education points claimed.
Health Examination Results
HAP ID and completed health examination by an approved panel physician.
Police Clearance Certificates
Police clearances from all countries where you lived for 12+ months in the past 10 years.
