Apply to the relevant Australian assessing authority for your nominated ANZSCO occupation. A positive assessment is required before submitting a nomination application or EOI.
Apply to your chosen state or territory for nomination, or ask an eligible relative in regional Australia to submit a sponsorship form (Form 40CH). Relative sponsors must be Australian citizens, PR holders or eligible NZ citizens living in regional Australia.
Submit or update your SkillSelect EOI. Include the 15-point regional bonus in your score. Indicate the sponsorship type. The Department issues ITAs in regular rounds.
Accept the ITA and lodge your visa application in ImmiAccount within 60 days. Pay the application fee and upload all supporting documents.
Complete health examinations and obtain police clearances for all relevant countries.
Home Affairs processes the application. On grant, you must live and work in regional Australia. After 3 years you may apply for the Subclass 191 permanent residence visa.
