Must have a valid Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) from a CRICOS-registered Australian education provider for a full-time course.
Must demonstrate English proficiency at IELTS 5.5 overall (or equivalent in PTE, TOEFL iBT, Cambridge or OET). Higher scores may be required for specific courses or providers.
Must demonstrate genuine intention to study temporarily in Australia and return home after completing the course. Home Affairs considers personal, economic and social circumstances.
Must demonstrate ability to pay tuition fees for the first year and living costs of approximately AUD 24,505 per year (per DOHHA guidelines). Additional amounts required for accompanying family members.
Must hold valid OSHC from a registered Australian insurer for the entire duration of the student visa.
Valid Passport
Current valid passport. Must be valid for the duration of the intended stay.
Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) Letter
CoE letter from the CRICOS-registered Australian education provider.
English Language Test Results
IELTS (minimum 5.5 overall), PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT, Cambridge or OET results.
OSHC Certificate / Policy Documents
Overseas Student Health Cover certificate from a registered Australian insurer covering the full course duration.
Evidence of Financial Capacity
Bank statements, scholarship letters, sponsor letters or loan documents showing ability to cover tuition and living costs (minimum AUD 24,505/year for living costs).
Genuine Temporary Entrant Statement
Written statement explaining why you want to study in Australia, your ties to your home country and your plans after completing the course.
Academic Transcripts and Qualifications
Previous academic records showing eligibility for the enrolled course.
Health Examination Results
Required for some nationalities or longer courses. HAP ID from an approved panel physician.
