Must have a nomination from an approved Australian employer who is an approved standard business sponsor.
The nominated occupation must be on either the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL) or the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL).
Must demonstrate competent English (IELTS 5.0 in each band, PTE 36, or equivalent) unless exempt by nationality or qualifications.
Must have the skills, qualifications and experience required for the nominated occupation. May require a skills assessment for some occupations.
Must be paid at least the TSMIT or the market salary rate for the occupation and location, whichever is higher.
Valid Passport
Current valid passport for all applicants.
Employer Nomination Confirmation
Confirmation from employer of lodged nomination via ImmiAccount.
English Language Test Results
IELTS (minimum 5.0 each band), PTE, TOEFL iBT or OET results (unless exempt).
Employment Reference Letters and Resume
References and resume demonstrating skills and experience required for the nominated occupation.
Academic Qualifications
Degree certificates and transcripts relevant to the nominated occupation.
Skills Assessment Letter (if required)
Required for some occupations — check the occupation list for skills assessment requirements.
Health Examination Results
HAP ID and health examination by an approved panel physician (if required for your occupation/nationality).
Police Clearance Certificates
Police clearances as required based on your country and duration of residence.
