Must have at least 2 years of relevant experience in the 5 years before applying. Cultural and athletic experience must be at a world-class level.

Must score at least 35 out of 100 on the self-employed selection criteria grid (experience, education, age, language, adaptability).
Must demonstrate a genuine intent and capacity to be self-employed in cultural activities, athletics, or farm management in Canada.
For cultural and athletic applicants, experience must be at an international competition or production level (not purely domestic/amateur).
Valid Passport
Current passport for all applicants and dependants.
Proof of Cultural/Athletic/Farm Experience
Performance programs, medals, competition records, published works, farm ownership documents, contracts, or other evidence of qualifying experience at the required level.
Language Test Results
Official IRCC-approved language test results.
Self-Employment Business Plan
Detailed written plan outlining how you intend to establish yourself as self-employed in Canada in your qualifying activity.
Education Credentials
Degrees, diplomas, and transcripts (for education points on the grid).
Police Certificate
Police clearance from every country lived in for 6+ months since age 18.
Reference Letters from Industry Professionals
Letters from recognized professionals in your cultural/athletic/agricultural field confirming your experience and reputation.
