🇬🇧 United Kingdom · Innovator Founder
2 mandatory requirements, 3 supporting factors, and 6 core documents — here is exactly what United Kingdom expects.
Missing any of these disqualifies an application outright — confirm them before investing in fees or document preparation.
Must receive an endorsement letter from a UKVI-approved endorsing body confirming the business idea is innovative, viable, and scalable.
Must demonstrate English at CEFR B2 level through a UKVI-approved SELT, or qualify for an exemption (nationals of majority English-speaking countries, UK degree holders).
Not strictly required, but each strengthens your case — the weight shown reflects how heavily our scoring engine (and in practice, adjudicators) value it.
Must show at least £945 in personal savings, held for a minimum of 90 consecutive days before applying, unless endorsed as an established entrepreneur with £50,000 already invested.
The business concept must satisfy all three criteria of the endorsing body assessment framework.
Strong prior experience in business, entrepreneurship, or a relevant sector is not formally required but significantly supports the endorsement application.
