🇬🇧 United Kingdom · Skilled Worker
4 mandatory requirements, 1 supporting factor, and 6 core documents — here is exactly what United Kingdom expects.
Missing any of these disqualifies an application outright — confirm them before investing in fees or document preparation.
Must have a valid Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) from a UK employer licensed by the Home Office to sponsor Skilled Worker visa holders.
The job must be in an eligible occupation on the Skilled Worker Occupation List at or above Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) Level 3 (equivalent to A-Level).
Must demonstrate English language ability at CEFR level B1 through an SELT (Secure English Language Test), a degree taught in English, or by being a national of a majority English-speaking country.
From April 2024, salary must be at least £38,700 per year or the specific going rate for the occupation code, whichever is higher. Lower thresholds for shortage occupations (£30,960) and new entrants.
Not strictly required, but each strengthens your case — the weight shown reflects how heavily our scoring engine (and in practice, adjudicators) value it.
Must not have any unspent convictions or be subject to any relevant court orders that would bar entry to the UK.
