Government processing times move with caseload. Check the official processing-time page for the current published estimate — our platform tracks these automatically.
Determine which EB-4 sub-category applies to your situation. Each has distinct requirements, forms, and sponsoring entities. Consult with an immigration attorney if your category is unclear.
Compile documentation specific to your EB-4 sub-category. For religious workers: ordination records, denomination letters, employment history. For IO employees: employment records and qualifying service documentation.
File Form I-360 (Petition for Amerasian, Widow(er), or Special Immigrant) with USCIS. Some sub-categories are petitioned differently — SIJS applicants need a court order first.
Form: I-360
After I-360 approval, monitor the Visa Bulletin for EB-4 priority date availability. Then file I-485 (AOS) or DS-260 for consular processing when current.
